I’m not really a ‘holy’ person but I know something about my faith (and I am still learning). I’ve always been a Catholic but I am affiliated to a charismatic (Catholic) community. Charismatic and Born Again Christians are somehow have the same methodology in practicing their faith. Cell groups, Soul winning, talks, seminars, conventions, and many other similarities. So let’s go to what I really want to say.

            Earlier, my block mates were forming a cell group for a spiritual sharing session. I thought it was just for ‘Born Again Christians’ but they invited me. I have always decided not to renounce my Catholic faith for something or someone else (there goes Shamcey Supsup). I am always aloof in those kinds of invitations because they would eventually encourage me to convert. But what impressed me earlier was when this person said, “Dito sa group na ‘to, kakalimutan natin ang relihiyon natin. Nandito lang tayo para mag-usap. Yun lang.” (Translation: Here in this group, we’ll forget our religions. We’re just here to talk. That’s all.)

I never expected that kind of point from him. That didn’t make me rethink about being converted to ‘Born Again Christian’, but it made me feel good towards him. It changed my view about him being ‘close-minded’ to his religion.

You will be able to smile and look back on this and know that this was a lesson, a hurdle that was put in your way, so you can overcome it and become stronger. ♥
